A change in – Location, Leadership, Perspective, Self – Doorway to new beginnings
Barack Obama – “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or time”
Mahatma Gandhi – “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
In March, we celebrated “Homecoming” where we moved the worship location to Chatsworth West United Methodist Church (based on members need), welcomed the 2026 Parish leadership team, welcomed new members, fine tuning adjustments as we move towards the end of the 1Q 2026 and are in process of going through the Lenten season where calls for self-transformation and reformation are made. This is no easy task. Moving out of a familiar comfort zone into the unknown, for better or for worse, can be frightening, painful or exciting. But, if we don’t change, stagnation and obsolescence resulting in long-term declines is certain. However, if we decide to change with intent & purpose, opportunities will open for growth, scaled improvements resulting in long term success and positive impacts on self, other individuals, families and communities.
All this starts with YOU. Be the change – but when? NOW. Start small but surely start – One step at a time.
Parish activities are going to be determined this month – Keep in mind that every improvement comes into fruition, depending upon the need and then is sustained based on the congregation interest and participation. I would ask that you stay engaged, support the leaders and be involved in all the activities to make a difference for a blessed year – both for you and your families.
