One month into the year – big changes already in route. A 2025 survey sparked several conversations in the executive committee on parish performance, member participation, and future of St Andrews MTC, LA. As part of embracing recommendations: –
At the Parish level – a monthly Newsletter, weekly highlights on members celebrating their birthdays and/or wedding anniversaries, updated parish member’s personal info/contact list, increased fidelity of the What’s App group & adding more members to it, were all done in YR 2025 to improve information flow and facilitate member engagement. We are currently in process of transitioning the Parish worship location to the Chatsworth United Methodist church on March 1, 2026, for more convenience for our members, solidified/improved lease terms for the parish, and incorporation of current technologies for a better worship experience.
At the organizational level, kudos to the Sunday School leadership!! They took the initiative to seamlessly
integrate the Sunday School students in the monthly English Holy communion worship service to make it an involved service for all ages. The lay leaders have already been asking different members for participation in divine service activities. The Retreat coordinators are already looking for suitable sites & dates. Zoom meetings are being setup for the Sevika Sangham members. The plans of the other orgs. will soon come up as leadership transitions are made.
Keep in mind that every improvement comes into fruition depending upon the need and then is sustained based on the congregation interest and participation. I would ask that you stay engaged, support the leaders and be involved in all the activities this year to make this a blessed year for both you and your families.
