The Sunday School and Yuvajana Sakhyam ministries of the Mar Thoma Church play a vital role in nurturing faith across generations—guiding children and youth to grow in Christ and actively participate in the life and mission of the Church.
Sunday School, formally organized in 1905 during the Maramon Convention, is dedicated to helping children know, follow, and share Jesus. Through Bible-based teaching, prayer, and fellowship, students from early childhood through high school are encouraged to understand God’s Word and apply its truths in daily life. The ministry also fosters an appreciation for the heritage, faith, and practices of the Mar Thoma Church, in partnership with parents and the wider church community.
The Yuvajana Sakhyam, established in 1933, focuses on guiding young people to deepen their relationship with Christ and live out their faith through worship, study, witness, and service. Through fellowship, camps, discussions, and outreach activities, youth are encouraged to grow spiritually and serve others with compassion.
Together, these ministries provide a strong foundation for Christian formation—equipping children and youth to live faithfully, serve joyfully, and carry forward the mission of the Church.
